Can you weld a sealing flange that will be used with a V-band clamp, directly to the exhaust housing on the turbo so I wouldn't have to use a 5-bolt flange? My only concern is that the exhaust housing is cast iron and the flange is mild steel. It is a precision sc-61.

 

The housing is cast steel, not cast iron. Yes you can weld it fine with ER70S-2
