Default 91' CRX HF Outer CV Joint Disassembly

I have searched more than just this site for some answers to this question and cannot find anything specific to this model. I am trying to disassemble the outer CV Joint and for some reason cannot find any way to do it. Is it possible or is it one of those joints that simple cannot be disassembled? The reason I am doing this btw is o replace a torn boot. Supposedly their is supposed to be type or wire spring that holds the housing to the outer race but I can not find any groove where it would be. Any help would be appreciated!

James

Here are some pictures. I hope they help, if you need some better shot of something let me know.

So it seems, when reading through a Haynes manual they give very mixed advice. They first describe how to dismantle the outer joint....the same way as the inner, but later go on to state that you cannot take it apart. My question is, how do I put a new boot on or do I really have to go buy a new axle!? Any advice would be great as I need to leave for college on Thursday!
