Default Oil Pan Leak

My oil pan is leaking it looks like there is a hole that should have had a bolt in it but doesnt have one. This is a 5th gen with an aluminum pan. The hole is on the drivers side almost on the end of the pan. I was wondering if something is supposed to be screwed in that hole or its supposed to be like that and its just leaking from somewhere else around that ? any pics would be great thanks

Same thing happened to me. The mechanic said that hole is meant to be there. Check your oil pressure switch.

I just had my oil leak fixed the other day. It turned out that the oil gasket was bad and oil was spilling out of there. Mabey that helps you.

The 5Gen does use a very small oil pan gasket. It's on the back of the block (i.e. on the passenger side of the block as it sits in the car). The gasket only seals the curved part of the pan. The rest of the pan is sealed with Hondabond.
