my cousin has a b20B motor with a b16 head in his em1.. hes at the point where hes gettin it tuned and had a few questions.. he already has the p28 and conversion harness.. does he need bigger inejctors, fuel pump or anything? its just stock so i dnt knw wat exactly he needs or will benefit him.. replaced the pistons at the time but with stock so everything was replaced but with oem parts.

 

stock injectors can support 180-190whp with a bump in fuel pressure, but that's pushing them.

 

so which injectors should he get? also does he need to change the fuel pump?

 

for a stock engine, stock injectors should be fine. i dont forsee him making more than 170-180whp. since he'll be on the dyno and tuning, watch the injector duty cycles in whatever engine management you're using. anything more than 80% and he should upgrade injectors.

at the least, maybe get a vtec (b16/gsr/itr) fuel pump. that's all he needs.

 

He should be fine on stock fuel components.
