There will be an Import Showdown event on June 23rd 2002 at the Fair Expo Center in Miami (off of SW 107th). I went to the event last year... it was medium sized and INDOORS ! Some cars were nice, some were...eh... but it was fun.

I think the entry fee if you actually want to SHOW your car is $40.
I believe entry is free, but I'll call later today to make sure.

Any S. Florida HT-ers interested in attending ? A couple friends and I are going, so if anyone wants to meet up to go, let me know and we can organize.

i went to the last one , i think i was there for a total of 5 minutes ...it was nothing but fugly *** cars..it was the biggest waste of time.

 

Heh heh... then don't go ! Many of the cars in the front were from locals and just about all of the local cars were daily drivers, not trailer queens.

The turn out wasn't spectacular last year, but the reason I put up this post is because I would like to go (I like to go anywhere there are cars on display, pretty or ugly) and I like to meet fellow enthusiasts... local ones too. Plus meeting some HTers is always fun. Shame, no one wants to go so far... oh well. I'm still down.... if anyone else is... post it up.


BTW, I posted this in the ITR forum because some one told me alot of the FL peeps are in here... I wonder why ?

Uh..yeah, if you rode in my car you'd know why... but you haven't, so you don't know... it's all good.

I've seen quite a few R owners located in FL... I wonder if I've raced any of you ? HAHAHA... R's are always fun to play with.

And still no one wants to come to the show... oh well..

 

IM Johnny Tran on this board. He's got a CRX with altezzas, chrome fender trim, neon, etc. He LOVES showing the car off

 

Damn... I could give a s&#t about entering a car. I am asking if anyone wants to go to this show in a group. But given the response, I'd assume one of two things.

1) No one wants to meet anyone else on here.
or
2) I posted this on the wrong forum

well since this show is so close to my house, i'll prolly pass by when i get bored... i passed by last year and decided to leave after not even entering.....
i wont have my R there (since it is currently in the shop), but i would be down to go by. last year i passed by there and saw a few R's in the parking lot. i even became friends with a dude i met with a R.....
i dont care, i'll go pass by, i am not all about shows anymore but in my boring neighborhood that will prolly be somewhat entertaining....... if not then i can just drive around the parking lot and make fun of the ugly *** cars and people's wack *** taste (what i did last year).......
