Default My bearing dilemma

I just finished disassembling my block.
This block was rebuilt 900 miles ago, with CTR pistons (before I bought the car, actually).
I decided to go back to the stock pistons.
The cylinder walls had gotten a light coat of rust on them from sitting around in the weather, and I just didn't want the CTR pistons anyway.
So now I'm about to order some parts, like rings, and a few other things I need.
Now I'm sure I'm going to get alot of responses like "never reuse bearings, its not worth it, your asking for trouble", etc. But...CAN they be reused safely?
I mean, its 9 bearings at ~20$ a piece, I'm not a cheapskate, but it just pains me to buy all new bearings when these have been for all intents and purposes, hardly used at all.
One of my friends said "no do not reuse the bearings end of story", and then another friend said "just get some plastigage and check the clearances, and if they are ok, reuse the bearings".
If the answer is really that they cannot, or should not be reused under any circumstances, then yeah, I will buy new bearings...
Advice please

I figured as much...
So next question.
All the bearings look like they have black on the sides, but I could be color blind.
The block has DCCCC marked on it, but its upside down from what the helms shows, my D is on the flywheel end.
The crank has some markings, but not in every place the helms specifies...or they are just so faint I can't see them. Basically it looks like there are marks on the crank for the main bearings but not the rod bearings, and they are: 1,4,4,3,3
All of my rods have 23.
So from the flywheel end to the pulley end D3, C3, C4, C4, C1
Black, Brown, Black, Black, Yellow
The one on the pulley end is definitely not yellow right now....
Am I understanding this correctly??
Where are the ABCD for the rod bearings?

the rods should have numbers (not letters) stamped into the journal/cap end that lays across half the rod and half the endcap on one side. It's the area that is slightly machined flat.
