Default turbo question regarding cams

hi i've got a question, currently i've got a h23 allmotor setup with stage 2 crower camshafts, and i've been thinking about turboing, and im wondering that since i didn't purchase the forced induction cams if i will still be able to turbo or not.

i dont see why you couldn't...alot of even pro guys are going back to like skunk pro series stage 1 all motor cams... because they breathe more at high boost... it really just depends on the way your going with it...

is your motor already built for n/a? if so, your gunna lower the compression too right? just curious

More lift is better, but I always understood that the increased overlap of performance NA cams is detrimental in FI apps.

yea i also i agree with that, and have heard that as well, however i talked to Skunk2 - a tech that used to be a cylinder head mechinist, and he said Skunk2 has been doing research on their Pro Series Stage 1 cams in High Boost Apps and said it's putting out like 40-80 more horse... I also heard from a guy who races nopi drag and he is about to but all motor cams for his race motor.... so i dunno i think you can go with more lift but too much! Ill be getting Pro1 for my build im pretty sure... The dyno shows you actually make more power on Pro1 than Pro2 on boost applications.... just call a tech @ Skunk2 or the cam company you want to go with and see what they say.... thats what they do... (you will know if it sounds like he knows what hes talking about or not)

my block is completely stock, it just had a bunch of bolt ons, so i'm not going to be running any high boost, just probably 8-10psi, depending, i've heard the h23 is better for boosting than the h22 anyways, but i'm glad to hear the cams won't affect it.

non of the H series are GREAT for boost but if you watch your a/f and dont detonate... you should be fine... easier said than done...
