Default New "hotness" coming to an Accord near you...

90mm bore, 97.75mm stroke, JE ultralight pistons, Carrillo ultralight GSR rods, airfoil crank (also 8lbs lighter than the old 98mm)

Almost there...

Same Vance & Hines head work with larger cams!

Just about done.

BHJ harmonic dampener added for good measure. :tu:

50mm ITBs will will be opened to 52mm after the first dyno sessions, so I can compare the difference.

The old dog...

Me, trying to look "dope" just befor the install. Yes... I am an ugly SOB.

Back home.

I am waiting for some new wheel bearings to arrive, then it is off to Locash racing for tuning. Should happen on Wed or thurs of this week.

<---Jealous

Good stuff as always

Sorry, I haven't heard the name/term airfoil...is it a modified stock crank or an aftermarket piece?

Nice! Who did the sleeves? Any problems finding a 90mm head gasket? Thanks for sharing the pics and good luck on the tuning/dyno.

Good to see you back buddy .......front runner

any pictures or additional information on this crank? And whats the idea behind using GSR rods? I take it that since you are using GSR rods, this is not an "off the shelf" crank.

90mm bore and it still looks like you have sufficient clearance between the bores.

good luck

GSR rods are the correct width to match f23 rod journals off the shelf, and they're available in any size you need, plus there might be something to narrower bearings being an advantage but I'm not sure.

All you would need to do to the f23 crank to get those rods to fit is grind down the rod journal's bore, because the BE bore on the GSR rods is a bit smaller. Looks like scott offset ground an extra .75mm of stroke in also

Thanks for the compliment. I am expecting this thing to rock. Seriously, I will be happy if it makes anything more than my last engine. What I want it to do is accelerate faster due to the lighter internals. I think I planned right.

I am building a second engine, but even lighter so... but that is for my Civic drag car when the police decide to give that one back.

Instead of knife edging, this crank has had it counter weights shaped like an airfoil with the blunt leading edge and a sharp trailing edge.

It is an off the shelf part from BHJ. Thanks for the compliment.

The head was done by Vance and Hines. I ran this head on my last set-up.

Bisi did the coating on the JE pistons for me.

OK, thanks...makes sense now. Using an aerodynamic 'teardrop' shape, craziness!

Awesome setup as usual and expected!
Now you just need a BB chassis for it!

Are we talking 300's this time???

Who's doing your cams now and where is compression checking it at?
