I feel my engine is not performing as good as when it was first built. Today I pulled out my compression and leak down tester and got the following results.
Compression:
Cylinder 1 - 235
Cylinder 2 - 220
Cylinder 3 - 225
Cylinder 4 - 230
Leak Down:
Cylinder 1 - 5% with aire escaping cia the oil dipstick tube
Cylinder 2 - 5% with aire escaping via cylinder 1
Cylinder 3 - perfect
Cylinder 4 - 10% with aire escaping via cylinder 2 and via the intake tube when I open the throttle body
I read compression shouldn't vary more than 20psi so I guess I'm ok
I read leak down shouldn't be more than 10% so I guess I'm ok here too
I read cylinder 1's reading suggest ring seal
I read cylinder 2 suggests headgasket
I read cylinder 4 suggests bent intake valve.
Please give me your opinions

You are "reading" things incorrectly. The only thing I might even consider worrying about is the #4. 10% is low anyways. If you wanted to pull the head off to correct the valve issue, have at it. You don't have a headgasket issue. I think you are looking too hard to find problems that don't exist.

You're probably right - sometimes I'm just too damn ****

I did a leak down on my b16 a week ago and got air from cyl 1 to cyl 2. It was a head gasket. When you do a leakdown test leave the throttle body open.
