Broken bolt in block....What to do?!?
I was installing my hasport ac bracket for my b18 crx. I snugged all the bolts down for the bracket to the block. When I went to fully tighten the last one it snapped off and there is maybe 1mm sticking out the block. Also, I took the other long bolt out and the last ~5 thread were filled with metal....like it peeled off metal from the block. What do you think caused this problem and how would I fix it. I know some people will say overtighten but I didn't put that much muscle into to it.

x2....or the metal is just old and fatigued and the threads pulled out.
But most likely, unless you used the stock bolt leanghts, you bottomed out and broke and stripped them....
Time to learn to use a tap and a heli coil kit.

Is the engine going to have to be pulled to do this?

Seems like it would be a little hard to get it going in straight.

use a 90 degree drill. it will pretty much follow the hole that is already there. its really not that big of a deal.
