Default timing belt situation. Belt won't stay centered on cam gears.

My timing belt is not staying centered on both cam gear. whenever i push the belt in the center of the cam gear, the minute i start the car i see the belt drift over to the outer edge of the cam gear ( the very out edge). It doesn't slip off but it stays right at the other edge. What could be wrong?

possibly the bearings in your waterpump or your belt tensionor are bad. this will cause the pulleys to become cocked and not let the belt ride in the center. just my guess.

everything is brand new. Water pump timing belt oil pump and tensioner.
