Single-stage paint job with electric HVLP?
I bought some single stage paint with thinner and hardener for $120 a long time ago in plans of painting a car I have with a very ashy, faded and flaking paint job. The car is now about to be sold, so I want to atleast put a semi-decent paint job on it instead of wasting the paint I have. I am planning on painting it in stages doing the front end, roof and doors, and then the quarter panels and trunk.
I've searched and found posts on the $50 paint job using rustoleom and electric sprayers.
I dont have access to a compressor so I was considering using an electric HVLP gun. Has anyone used this with sucess with single stage paint? Are there any recommended models or brands that do better jobs similar to an air powered gun?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I wish I could answer your question but honestly Im just subscribing to see if anybody has any answers, cause I'm interested in those electric HVLP guns too but not sure if theyre gonna do the job....
well im not sure about the electric hvlp guns but i do know that the high volume low pressure guns ARE the way to go.
as far as the painting it in stages i wouldn't recommend it. it makes for a.. not-so-blended job. lol you definately should paint it all at once if you can manage it.
you said you bought the paints? do you know how to mix them? its a pretty exact science so don't mess up.
