Default wheel hop problem when going from a stop (not launching)

i wasnt sure what i was going to search for so i decided to make a post. you know how when you launch and you get wheel hop, well im getting this same type of problem when im just going from a stop and accelerating as smoothly as possible.

if you ever ran into this type of problem or know whats wrong please chime in...any help will be greatly appreciated..

edit: also, it has become apparent that getting into gear is being a bit more difficult now that the problem has started up...

could it be that i have air in the clutch lines?

Tires, suspension, bad mounts, each one of those could be causing this. For a better assessment take it to an alignment shop.

alignment is a little off but not enough to do this, ive been driving around awhile and this just started happening...

mounts are in decent condition (i only have the 3 major mounts in could this be a problem?) missing front tranny mount and front block mount...

shocks are fine as well

only thing i can say has a problem is the bad driverside axle...(but would this cause a good amount of wheel hop that im experiencing?) replacing this today to see if it works..

also can anyone tell me about the shifting gears? when the car is on and im trying to shift thru the gears, it becomes difficult but when the car is off, i can go thru the gears smoothly...

I would almost guarantee your wheel hop problem is due to the fact that YOU'RE MISSING YOUR TRANNY MOUNT!!!!!!!! Get that thing in, and your problem should be solved. If the rest of your mounts are in less than acceptable condition, buy some energy suspension motor mount inserts.

I don't know what you mean when you say "bad driver-side axle," but I wouldn't assume that to be the problem.

This shifting issue you're having is normal (unless you're grinding excessively). The synchros need time to match up the speeds of the gears. You have to give them some time, especially when shifting at high rpm's with stock gears.

ok if your car was fine then started the wheel hop not long ago along with the shifting problem i would say it your clutch has broken dapening springs and your getting the clutch chatter at full force. also the clutch sounds to me like you need adjust the cable. if it's a hydro clutch and not a cable you most likely need a new clutch.

That's what it sounds like to me.

I've seen plenty of civics run fine w/o those 2 mounts w/o "wheel hop" problems.

i replaced everything i could and im pretty sure its the clutch or some part of it..

but could that be the reason why its hard for me to shift into gears? would a bad throwout bearing/clutch fork cause this type of problem?
