Default What causes BOGGING(CHOKING)

Hey can anyone list the things that can cause bogging or choking. i have a 93 civic w/JDM D15B. i just got it from the collision shop and its giving me problems. Some how these guys washed my engine also. What could have happened.Symptoms are that out of nowhere as in it dont happen at all times my car loses power completly and it chokes like its going to turn off. Kind of like when someone has a broken head that its passing water. Kind of like that but nothing comes out of exhaust. I have a external MSD coil that got wet could those guys have f*cked it up? I mean my tach gives me no more signal either . Any help is appreciated

Bogging is generlly caused by too much or too little fuel, a bad air/fuel ratio to be exact.
A number of other things too, such as bad plugs/;ignition.

Sounds like you should do a general tune up of oil, spark plugs, cap/rotor, even coil, new or cleaned air filter, fuel filter if necessary.

Run some injector cleaner thru your system.

Id possibly look into SeaFoam'ing the engine, but i have heard mixxed reports about that, some very good, some very bad, so dont take my word on that advice.
