My 1991 UK Spec EE9 VT project, start to finish.
I bought this in June from the person who had bought it from my brother 2 years ago.
It was mechanically excellent but the passenger side rear arch had rotted so bad the whole repair panel needed to be used. You can see from the pics that the repair panel came close to the side window.
2 months on and its finally finished. I’m very happy with it and it’s a definite keeper!
It still needs a new suspension set up as the lowered springs its had for the last 5 years have killed the original shocks! Also the exhaust is a bit on the loud side, so that will get changed when my bank account recovers!
It has 158K miles on it but as I have known the last 2 owners (my brother and his friend) I know how well they looked after the mechanicals, its fast, the gearbox is smooth and the engine quiet.
B16a as standard, with a cheap lowering job (soon to change) stainless exhaust, K&N and an intake. I'll post pictures when the Valve covers painted and engine bay cleaned up.
Heres a few pics.
As it went to the bodyshop, all stripped down by me.

New arches in

Its back and ready to be rebuilt. They did a good job!

I filled all the crevices and coated inside all the panels and rear panel with in excess of 5 litres of waxoil! Fingers crossed that will stop the rust returning!

All finished and as it stands today.

Here’s to another 17 years of VTEC fun (albeit carefully looked after!)
Thanks for looking.
