Anyone converted from 3-wire to 2-wire IACV?
I just converted my automatic transmission to a manual. My new ECU is expecting a 2-wire IACV and my current IACV is 3-wire, so I'm replacing my throttle body & IACV. Has anyone else done this? If so I'd like to ask some questions...Thanks!
Yes it can be done, but when i did my swap i did myself the favor of getting a new harness as well so i could avoid this confusion. Have you tried the search option? theres a write-up on this somewhere.
Yeah, I saw the article about it in Auto to Manual conversion FAQ. I know it can be done, I just wanted to make sure I was switching to the right throttle body. I'm gonna put in a 97 EX throttle body in my 98 HX. Any reason that would cause a problem?
well, that may not be entirly correct. Does the manifold your using support the IACV in its rear, the 2-wire? On autos the IACV is 3 wire and located on the TB alone (d16y7's) , where as in other cases with 2-wire, the IACV has use within the back of the manifold, and passages thru the TB, to just outside the throttle butterfly.
COuld you list your setup of parts?
