Default Safe Rev limit

With my current setup I am running a B16 with a stock block, Wiesco Pistons, Eagle Rods and a Supertech head. The car is redlining at 9200 rpms. Is this pretty safe with a stock block or should I not run it that high? I bought the car with this setup and have been out of the scene for a while and am just trying to get some thoughts on the issue. Thanks

if you have pistons and rods you dont have a stock block.

agreed...Valve float or failure is what will kill it before the bottom end ever comes apart. I ran my stock B16 past 9k daily. Granted..I didn't care if it blew, but it stayed together. Finally...one day, it cracked a valve retainer and dropped a valve in under easy driving.

It usually always comes down to those valves and retainers.

you need more than dvs's to run up to 11,000, but 9200 is fine

depending on how radical your cam is, and how much street driving the car will get , is if you really need to do the retainers.

trying to figure out the same thing for my own setup (dont mean to thread jack)..
..but i got a stock ctr motor with boost and am currently only taking it to 8250..
how safe will it to be to take it to 9000?
considering its already making 291whp @ 8250 im wondering if taking it to 9k will cause the bottom or top to fail first.. ?
HELP!
