Ok so about 6 months I was driving around and I got on it in 1st and at around 6k it jumped out of gear and grinded horribly. Didnt think to much of it till it happened about 2 weeks later. I took it in and got the transmission fluid changed and went and drove the hell out of it that same weekend and it was fine, no problems at all. Well now im in iraq and have had a buddy taking care of the car for the past 5 months. Hes drivin it 3 times and he said it did it to him twice. Its only in 1st gear and at around 6k. Has this happened to anyone before or know the problem?

 

how many miles are on it... 1-2 syncos might be worn......

be safe out in the sand box... i hated the taste of sand in the air...

 

around 63k. yea, imma need a 3 hour shower to get all this **** outta my skin when I get back haha

 

depending on the previous owner it could be possible.. you replace the fluid with honda MTF?

give GM syncomesh a shot see if it helps any

 

there is a service bullitin on this issue 05-009. it involves replacing the 1-2 gear syncro set. Last one I had in the shop I replaced the syncro and it still did it. So the customer got a whole new trans.

 

roughly what would it cost to get the syncros replaced?
