Default Putting front end back together, How to reinstall? (Couple of pics)

The tie rods are being replaced. Do I just clamp the tie rod to the metal piece just above the castle nut, then tighten the nut down?

What about this connection? What is the best way to get this tightened down and castle nut in place?

Thanks for any help!

1. If its going to be replaced just get a BFH and bang that **** out.

2. Best way to tighten it is to make sure its 1000% cleaned, if you have tap and die clean off the threads and make sure your going straight. Then start turning it. If it starts to spin then try putting pressure on the knuckle by putting a jack under the disc and lift.

what he said.. or you could use a C-clamp and an air impact, but be very careful if you use air!

Are you using hand tools? If you've got a 3/8" impact wrench, it works great even if it the ball tries to spin on you. The new tie rod end shouldn't spin on you, though. The ball joint, like was said, jack up under the control arm and you should be able to thread that beotch on there. Then once you're done, take that **** to a shop and have the ***** aligned.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the info. Did you just crank it down w/ the impact without using any pressure on the LCA?
