Default Cheapest power

Okay, I want approximately 220-300 whp after I am done with the 5g build. But, after all the research, it seems the cheapest way might just be to swap a used ls into my ride and slap a turbo onto it. I considered everything more exotic ($), B16 turbo, B20 turbo, CRVtec turbo, H22a and, after everything, this seems to be the cheapest way to go for the power I want. I just want to smoke an M3(pos) with my Honda. Am I right? Thanks...Also, I am not saying this is the best way, for all you flamethrowers, just the cheapest.

A ls with turbo (if tuned properly) can be fairly cheap and reliable at the same time. Just hang around the FI and hybrid forums a bit and explore your options.

Good luck
