2 HOLES/TRANSMISSION OIL PAN/PLS HELP/99 Prelude
Thank you for the help in advance. I drive a 99 Prelude and am in some trouble here. 2 holes were put in my transmission pan form a raised manhole on a road under contruction. Is there any way to repair those holes with out replacing the transmission oil pan? ( Anything out there on the market that would seal those holes? you can put about 2 fingers in on an 1 in the other) Secondly am I able to replace just the transmission oil pan and if so would any one know how much the part would cost and how to do it? Also if its a task I can do in the garage or should i take it into a shop?
thanks

is it automatic or manual tranny? i never heard of a manual transmission having a oil pan.. few weeks back the differential snapped and made a hole in my tranny. i took the tranny off and figured out the one of the gears locked up on the non-lsd.. so the shop sealed it by melting some aluminum. but in your case im thinking its a automatic tranny. i dont know if there is anything that you can buy and seal it up
whos doing the construction? im sure u can get someone to pay for it unless if ur ridiculously lowered. i heard calling the better business bureau and reporting it can get you a good settlement if u know what company is doing the work. im not sure on the details, juse throwing ideas out there to save your pockets
