I have a 1996 honda civic ex and don't know how to take that panel on top of the trunk inside where the speakers are off because the owners before me tried to put tint on themselves and it sucks so I'm gonna get it off but can't reach with out that panel coming off.

 

What the hell are you trying to do? Many refer to that as a parcel shelf.

 

okay there is that do it urself tint on the rear window and with that shelf it is too hard to get the tint off at the bottom im scraping it off with a razor

 

The shelf should basically pop out. There might be a couple of bolts/screws holding the speaker grills on. Once those are removed, there are several clips that hold that part on. Try to get them out without breaking them.

Use a heatgun or atleast a blowdryer and have at it.

i hope you werent scraping all over your rear window with a razor. if you did i hope you dont need rear defrost.

 

don't try to pop the speaker grilles off because the whole thing is on piece. Basically it is all clips that hold that thing on but it is still a pain in the *** to remove it

 

okay thanks for all the posts I didnt end up poppuing it off but i was scraping the back window because in AZ its rare that you need defrost
