The amount of power output will be directly related to the parts you use for the build. If you essentially duplicate a stock ITR, it's only logical that you can expect output that's close to stock ITR numbers. Despite the fact that is has the much coveted "ITR" in its name, there's nothing really extraordinary about a "poor man's ITR" setup.

i see a pattern in your posts.

what numbers do you expect? it's going to be nearly idential to a type R, if you're considering boost and asking these questions i seriously doubt you have the ability to build a lego fort.

and you know the general ball park, so how big of a difference would you need to "need a bottle?"

For another opinion. The 2 people I know that have built "poorman's Type-r's" end up spending more than they would on an ITR swap. But they DO make more power when said and done usually.

to the OP:
If you are shooting for 200 whp, would you mind sharing what exactly you plan to put in the motor? Maybe that would help figure if you will actually hit the number or not. There are a multitude of routes to take when building this set up.

I have a JDM b16 from a del sol in my EG civic (10.4:1 compression).

I am buying a USDM b18c short block.

My plans are to fully build and sleeve this b18c block with 84.5mm pistons. Forced induction are my plans for the future. (track *****, LHT intercooled JRSC at 10-11 psi)

My questions are :

When I am buying 84.5mm 10.5cr b18c/type r forged pistons from a company and they say it will be a 10.5:1 comp ratio, will my JDM b16 head and USDM b18c block combo yield a compression ratio of 10.7cr?

From my research, 10.5cr for 2.0L JRSC setups is ideal. Given my head and block combo, what pistons should I buy?

I hope you understand my question
Brian
