Default 1998 Honda CR-V

I currently have an 1998 Honda CR-V, and wanted to know how to get more power out of it. I am thinking of getting an intake and exhaust, but I do not know what intake to exhaust to purchase. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Also is their any other modifications I can do to increase performance?

It's a b20 motor, so if you spend some time searching you can find what people do with those motors.

How much are you willing to spend and how much do you want to get out of it are the most important things you can tell us now.

A good intake and exhaust are nice simple places to start and add a bit of power, but again what you will be doing with it, how much you are willing to spend etc will help.

As for money my limit would be around $1000. As for use, my town has a track they set up every other week that people race on, they have different classes and just happen to have a cr-v class and want to participate, but I know my engine is not powerful enough to beat the other guys.

What kind of track?

AEM makes an intake, or really to save some money if you arn't a total peak # ***** for alot less I'm sure you can make some kind or get one off ebay.

For the crv you don't have many options of full catbacks but a few are out there. You can also go to a muffler shop and have something welded up for you.

You could always put a VTEC head on it...

thatd be a good upgrade prolly best bang for the buck besides nitrous. I would really like to see/hear a crv with a vtec crossover.

So what Vtec head do you guys suggest? As for intakes, I have searched and I can only find the weapon-r intake that says its "compatible" with a 1998 cr-v.

if you can find a great deal on a gsr head, i would go gsr head. OR see if you can find a vtec head that has ctr/itr cams in it already and roll out
