Good price? $250 for 4 ITR rotors/calipers...
Found a guy parting out his 2000 R, getting the tranny for 1g, and considering getting the rotors and calipers along with it. $250 is the price he has mentioned, I think it is firm, along with the tranny. I was wondering if that is a good price for the rotors and calipers...about 25k miles...
Just want to make a sound decision for this project teg.
The tranny is going to be mated to my JDM ITR motor and will be dropped into my 'new' 95 rolling chassis teg gsr. The brakes look decent on the GSR, but I think I will want better braking due to my plans for auto-x and minor circut racing...
Thnx for the help...

Personally, that is a fair price but nothing great.
New Brembo blank rotors = $50/side x 4 = ~$200
Used front calipers = ~$100.
So you can have brand new rotors and front calipers for ~$300. I guess what I'm saying is, don't cheap out on brake parts... consequences can be costly.

Also, to go along with the possible ITR brakes and calipers, I was thinking Hawk Blues for the pads and Goodrich SS braided lines...will that combo work nicely? Also, is there anything else I should consider when upgrading my brakes?
ok, so i like the fact that the brembos are fairly priced ($50/rotor), but are they good? I know the brembo cross drilled are good racing brakes, but i don't need CD, nor do i need racing brakes. I think I'll stick with the ITR brakes, at least for now.
As for controlling the bias, yes, i can see how that will improve things...BUT, is it really necessary for a daily driver/weekend auto-x car? I am trying to keep things as cost effective as I can, but no cheapness either...I am not trying to ruin the car, everything will be top quality...
thanks again for all the help...i'm trying to get this done in time for me to enjoy the summer with it!

I really don't thinkg you need the prop valve.
I don't think that the ITR's is any better than the GSR.
It only biases (is that a word?) the brake pressure. Unless the ITR is given more or less presure in the back than a GSR, I don't see the need in getting one.
Might not be the easiest thing to install either.
