Like the title says recently my dif has been acting up on my MY00 S2000. The rear end shakes when i accelerate. My question is which part of the Dif is messed up(pinion, housing) and how much and i expecting to pay to get it fixed?

 

i sold a used diff recently for $800...installed in for $100..

guy had the same problems as you do. case was completely unusable. pinion was missing teeth. ring was missing teeth.

you may be able to find my old post. head line ( nice diff )

 

may also be worn inner cv's. these cause shaking.

 

you know fish22 maybe right. lets hope thats all it is.

jack the rear of your car up... grab the inner joint. try and move the inner joint. is there any movement in the case. please say no???

 

shaking only when you accelerate sounds like it's the CV's. . . .
