I don't really know that it's been "cracked up" to be all that much, other than a simple phenolic spacer. It does help insulate the intake manifold, especially when one disconnects the coolant flow along with it. However, I would not expect monumental gains, nor would I go through the effort of installing one unless I was already going to have the IM off for another reason.

I am actually getting ready to get rid of mine. I have a genuine Hondata version (there are a million knock-offs now) and with the underhood/engine temps its begun to warp and actually created a vacuum leak. Not at all as durable as I thought it was suppose to be.

depends on if you plan on taking the manifold off a lot, if not go oem, if you do then it saves a LOT of time having to scrape the old gasket off

You need to use extended studs with it - personally, I wouldnt want to do that with the engine/head in the bay... I replaced one stud once and that was pita enough for me.
There is a specific torque procedure for it, too.

Personally, I dont think the hondata version is worth the money, however, the ebay brand at less than 1/2 the price may be...

if you dont have the reg gasket completely scraped off it will not seal correctly. might as well have the motor out to do it correctly

if you have the motor out and are changing the intake manifold anyway... is it worth it to use this gasket?

is there any real advantage over using oem?

disadvantages?

new studs? where can you get them? anything else you need?
