okay, i get off work start up my car and start driving home. about a mile down the road, my check engine light comes on and i immediately pull into a parking lot and shut the car down. i pop the hood and check for any visible problems and find none. i start the car back up (light still on) and drove home. when i get the car into my garage i find out that it is throwing a code 22 - vtec oil pressure switch defective circuit or unplugged/defective oil pressure switch. the result is, i have a light on, the car won't rev past 5000 rpm and i'm seriously concerned because this thing is my baby. any ideas what happened? possible solutions? (aside from taking it to the dealership?
) thank you all so much!

well i do live in arizona and the car sat in the sun all day, that might have something to do with it...
the other thing that i was thinking about was the fact that i hit a dip in the road on the way home but it didn't concern me much at the time. i hit it every day and the car doesn't bottom out or anything of that nature.
to reset the ECU should i just disconnect the positive battery terminal and let the car sit for about 5 minutes? or is there a better way?
thanks you all your help, btw.

hehe ... those yellow ones are lemons! (j/k) ed
i don't want to take the car back to the dealership because they've screwed me over in the past. the last time my car was there, it was broken into and vandalized. as compensation, they installed a dc sports intake and refused to give me back my stock one. also, my car went in the have the power locks fixed--it just so happens that this was the day after a track event and due to some "interesting" circumstances, i had a quite severely flatspotted tire...the dealership called me on my cell and told me that they were getting ready to replace the front wheelbearing due to a bad vibration.
