no matter how many electrodes they have you will only get one spark. Electricity will always take the path of less resistance. However, they will last longer as one electrode corrodes spark will move onto the next one. Oh,and......Bosch Plat. plugs SUCK ***!!!

Looks like too many prongs that could quench the flame kernal .

Say reading comprehension.

When the spark initiates the power stroke, it isnt a BANG as youre taught in beginning engine theory, but flame that starts out as a kernal (using MOTU's terminology) and progresses like a star exploding.

If you were to start that flame kernal in the center of that spark plug, it seems like the prongs would inhibit the flame front progression. Almost like flame "shrouding" to put it into a porters terms, lol.

Probably the reason that RM's modded plugs work like they do.

Thank you.

You have a small flame kernal at the beginning. The small amount of heat produced by this kernal should be used to raise the temprature of the surrounding air/fuel mixture and not be absorbed by metal "prongs"

More prongs = more sales to the un-initiated. Less prongs = more power.

when i used to work at autozone, i would get so many customer returning bosch platinum plugs because they would cause their cars to mis or run worse than before the spark plugs were changed.

NGK al the way. other plug materials aren't really all their cracked up to be.... i've never seen anyone say they were noticably better but i have heard of many people having breaking up after doing crazy plugs like that. Go NGK copper.

Lame
I've seen plenty of american cars use NGKs with great success and Japanesse cars with autoilites with great success, as well as many other brands. Just stay away from the multielectrode gimick.

Say what you like, dude, you've seen plenty I'm sure. The fact that honda doesn't use those plugs OEM is enough to make me use NGK unless the need for some other brand arises for some reason that NGK cannot meet.
