When I pull off from a stop or accelerate, I get a click noise coming from the wheels. It is just a sharp "click", almost like a chirp. It is not continuous. a few clicks and it stops.

Well, after 3 days Acura gives me back the R, and guess what it's fixed! I asked them what the problem was and thay said they didn't know
They pulled my axles to replace them, but mine were in perfect condition so they reinstalled them, and checked the vehicle again the noise was still there. So they lifted her back up and torqued everything up front to spec. and he said I mean everything, and when they took her out again problem solved. He told me to keep him posted, but he thinks I won't have this problem again. Sorry, but they said they have no idea what caused the noise, but after they torgued everything I can't get it to make the noise under any situation. Take it to Acura and have them torque everything and your problem will be solved. I think I caused the problem doing some fun runs at a auto-x where I did some extreme drifting, and the R hooked so hard that my helmet hit the drivers window a few times, because after that my door didn't open or close the same for a few days, then it went back to normal.

I have the same problem in my Si. When a accelerate it clicks once, then when I let off the throttle it clicks again. I have no idea what's wrong with it. I think it started to happen after my car got towed.

my helmet hit the drivers window a few times,
you had your window up at an autocross? is that allowed?

Next time you hear the click, turn the a/c off and try again. If you can't get the sound to occur with the a/c off, it's probably the a/c clutch. I had the same problem, when I accelerate hard the clutch momentarily disengages, and the click/chirp is the clutch hooking back up. The center retaining bolt on the a/c clutch had loosened up, I tightened it and the chirp is gone.

i'm having this exact same problem. car is at the dealer right now and they are telling my it's from the non OEM pads i installed.
the pads are R4S and there is a little bit of play up and down when seated in the caliper.
i originally thought it was coming from the clips in the caliper but i removed the clips and it made the exact same noise. even if it was from the extra play it woudn't make the exact same noise when they were removed because the pads would banging against a different type of metal. caliper metal vs. clip metal
it's only coming from the left wheel and i had someone look at the wheel when the noise occured and you can see the entire hub shaking for a second.

Got the same thing goin on. Just torque it all down huh? What was the labour on that? Any other possible answers/solutions before I go nuts replacing parts?
i have a similar sound, but i can't see how it would be pads...it happens when you go from throttle to off-throttle, but not with the brakes...so as far as the pads are concerned, the disc is still going the same way. I wonder if anyone can nail this down definitively...
My dealer said the same thing !!! They said the R-4S pads were making the clicking sound.
Maybe in a weekend or two, I'll wip out the Helm's and just torque every single front suspension bolt.

pads are the cause was the final word from the dealer i took the car to. so i put the stock pads back in and will take it to another local dealer next week. fugging dealers suck ***.

After Acura torqued everything I can't get it to make the noise under any situation. Take it to Acura and have them torque everything and your problem will be solved, unless you're no longer under warranty.
