nopi any one going.. is there a honda-tech meet.

 

where and when? I went to NOPI Drift in st. louis bout a month ago for some media coverage and it was awesome!

It was my 1st NOPI Drift event and i kinda like the atmosphere better as compared to the D1 circuit.

I think I'll pass, last time I went there was a bunch of drama that lead to a huge brawl being broken up by police before it started..... plus most of the cars were disgusting.

 

I live less than a mile from the track right now and I will more than likely not make it myself.

 

ive watched nopi-vision or whatever it is on tv - i dunno if i'd ever go..looks like a bunch of military guys ...more like a cockfesf ( besides the bikini contest)..and the cars....DOS MUCHOS! too much...i dunno...too much.....EAST COAST STYLE maybe??...too outrrageous for me!

We get HIN too, I believe. It has been 5 years since I went, but I am pretty sure it still comes to Atlanta. I am not a big fan of the overly ridiculous cars that are often shown at NOPI myself, either.

On the subject of Tunervision, I am actually on the episode for Valdosta, Ga when they came through in 2006 at the very end on a couch being pulled by a golf cart with the host, Charity Hodges, and a few other assorted characters (bikini models, NOPIMAN, random driunks, etc.) drinking beer. Out of my 15 minutes of fame, I believe I used up 5 seconds of it that day; 14:95 more to go. That was the last NOPI event I went to and had a blast; it was really more of an excuse to party than walking around looking at cars.

West coast HIN was sick, but the local cars at the DC HIN..... with exception to team emotion were a little too much on the ricey side for my tastes. Don't get me wrong there were plenty of sick, clean, tasteful cars, but there was still that car in every area that was poorly put together.

Nopi on the other hand...... is the exact opposite there are hundreds of crappy cars that totally were not at all thought through and poorly put together, with a serious exception here and there. There was a primered NSX there that couldn't run under a 14.5.

Sorry, smr_lsvtec, didn't see your post until now.

I will not be entering my car, mainly because right now I am driving around in a Colorado, while I am getting a few things settled before buying another Honda. I am mainly lurking around here doing some research before I buy an S in the upcoming month.

Im going...but only because the owner of West coast customs is a client and got me and my wife passes and we can chill in their trailer and blah blah blah...truely, the only thing i really want to look at are the cars in the middle row section, then we'll probobly leave...NOPI is pretty boring truthfully.

Looks like I'll be going. Just found out that my buddy from JE PISTONS will be working the JE Piston booth at the show. So I'll be staying at his hotel, etc...wow, what better time to have had my vacation scheduled!!
