Default Manifold Fabrication: Divided T4 w/twin 44's and a TopMount B series 56k=death

This manifold is for a 2.0L Neon with an eclipse gs head (mirror image of the head...just backwards) 1-4 and 2-3 are paired. The collector is smoooooth as glass and transitions perfectly to the flange. Equal length within .5"...low angle merge collector...its pretty tight IMO.

This manifold was done for an H-T member. He wanted a TopMount Manifold for a B series... and he specifically said that he wanted it to be just like the F-R manifold. So judging by the pics on full-race's site I did a pretty good replica IMO.

sometimes! Depends on if I have two tanks full of argon! I typically do triple pass welds. Root, fill, and then cap.

Nice work, was it a pain welding inbetween the collectors?

I happen to see the top mount B-series in person tonight. I happen to buy a OBD-2 distributor for my car from the guy that owns it. It was in his car and I asked him if I could take a look at it. Eric does great work, I was impressed with the quality. Small world, cause I was just talkin to Eric the other day and he had mentioned he was working for a top mount for someone local. Good stuff man, can't wait for you to do my setup. I really liked the way you did the collector, and wastegate port. All nice and smoothed out, and just look flawless. I did notice it was not backpurged, but the welds look good, plus your local haha. I know if I ever had a problem you'd fix it. That collector did kinda look like a pain, but they usually are.

nice work. that first manifold looks like it weighs a ton! just a suggestion: i like to weld the inside of the head flange to runner joints. perhaps you hadn't done it yet.

I usually weld the inside of the head flange too...but he wasn't too keen on that due to the resulting warpage.

thanks for all the comments and suggestions!

Today I went and bought another 330 cubic foot bottle and a regulator(nice one) so I can backpurge pretty much all my work.

Last night I finished a custom pipe for a KTM 650 (single cylinder motard)..turned out really badass however i didn't snap any pics! I'll have to call him and see if he can take some pics.

.035" SS 316 wire.

I'll post some backpurged pics up soon. I just bought an extra 40cf bottle to hold argon for purge instead of using my 330's

Nice lookin neon manifold, I really like how it looks.

But yeah the inside weld appearance that counts big time, sch10 theres no need to do triple pass, in fact sch10 is fine with one pass with properly prepared bevels, backpurge a must.
