anyone heard much about it? its replacing the racing medalion, supposed to be lighter. anyone know guestamation as to what power gains the racing medalion gives to an ITR?

seriously though, i had a racing medalion on my SI before it was torched. it gave a noticable dif in power, and a great tone. i like the ITR exhaust, but i was just wondering if i would recieve any real power gains by switching to the new supermedalion exhaust. i plan on getting a new header (dc jdm 4-1) but i really wanted to know about the exhaust

the new super medallion is a bit lighter and is completely stainless. No difference in performance acoording to mackin.

how loud is it at wot,idle,and highway? would it work well with custom piping and cat? i want quiet on highway and idle, but loud and nice at wot.

From people I've met with the racing medallion it's loud all the time unless your cork it.

 

it is definitely not a quiet exhaust. It will louder than say their hyper or an apex ws but i would say not as loud as an N1 according to the ones i heard.

 

I was running the old Hyper Medallion on my VTEC Del Sol. It definitely made a difference on that car, I especially noticed a difference on the high end. And in 5th gear, I could actually FEEL vtec kick in rather than just hear it after installing the exhaust. Of course that was a B16 motor, but still. I liked that exhaust a lot. It was pretty loud though at WOT. But just cruising, it was a pretty deep and mellow rumble tone. Im thinkin about gettin one for the ITR. HTH

 

exactly how loud is it on the highway? annoying? comfortable for a long drive? put silencer in for long drive and is not bad at all? cost? can you actually carry a conversation without raising your voice? thanks.

 

with the silencer in you can talk on the highway. with it out, you'll definately have to raise your voice a bit
