Default Someone help me w/ this ignition problem!!

Hey everyone!

I've just replaced the ignition switch on my 93 dx coupe and now my key won't even turn over (I cant move it up to I, II, etc.). And when I connect the battery to get power, all the instrument icon lights up. Wassup with that? Or is my cylinder messed up and I need a new one? Am i missing a step to doing the installing?

I've searched around, and someone said that I need a new key from Honda or something? What am i missing here?

Help me guys, the car has been sitting for 2.5 weeks already!

Thanks for any tips/comments.

if it dosent turn it is bad plain and simple and if the lights light up when you connect battery you either have the wires in the wrong spot. or come to think about it when you did this you just pulled the white piece off the end and replaced the ignition part right. well pull that white part with wires back off and verify that you can turn the key then see if it is even possible that if you have it 180 out so that when the key is off the switch or white piece is already set to the third position.

was that your problem?

the key not turning could have been the steering lock holding it....
