Default My Type-R throttle body wont fit my SOHC ZC. WHY!!!???

I bought the Integra Type-R Throttle body from a guy dat works at Speed Unlimited and he said it would bolt on my ZC. He also said that D-series, B-series and H-series throttle bodies have the same bolt pattern. Is it just my ZC INTAKE MANILFOLD?? wat throttle body can fit my SOHC ZC??????

Pretty sure that even tho its close, its def not the same bolt pattern. I'd go back and throw that Type-R TB through the window. JK. just mention that he shouldn't sell parts that fit when they don't. try thezcr.com, quite a bit of zc nuts on there.

The year of both parts matter.

D-series TB works

F-series TB using 3 mounting bolts and removing the fourth

D-Series are the same, from 92-->00. Pre 92 D-Series are off in their own little world.

OBD0 D series (1991 or older) Tbs are not compatible with B series TBs.
OBD1 D series (1992 or newer) Tbs share the same bolt pattern as B series
I think you could get just some of the screws to secure the TB, but That's just not the right way to do it. I don't think the Tb bore and the manifold opening will match.

You sir, not only crossed that line, you threw up on it.

Let him bolt on whatever he wants, how the hell does it effect OR matter to you? No need to be such a whiney little bitch about it you asswipe.

definitely sort out the chassis before you start worryin about making power. A good turn in is more important then a good 60 ft IMHO.

You should just get a D16Z6 mani like you stated earlier if you're doing the OBD1 conversion. Problem solved!

I believe people have done the whole mini-me on their obd0 cars, keeping their stock intake mani. Meaning the z6 mani should bolt right up, only difference is the ports may not be the same sizes.

If you know 2 ppl with the IM, pop yours off and check it out. The obd1 swap is the best thing you can do if you're going to put a turbo on it, it gives you much more tuning options.

Otherwise...you might want to just stick with the 56mm TB. Its not going to help with power much, or response - unless you don't jump on the H-T 'huge turbo' bandwagon and get something reasonably sized.

It will bolt on just fine if your ZC is the SOHC, it will NOT bolt to the DOHC ZC.

The sohc shares all the same parts as regular D series.

dont get the z6 manifold, just get the y8, its bigger and makes more power than the other ones.

i think they had an article in last months honda tuning about it.

the y8 is better. i changed mine out a few months back. swapped out the SI throttle body for an LS and it seemed to pull a little harder. no dyno sheets to back it all up but it did feel a lot better. fuel rail was a bitch to fit though.

dude, to each his own. . .calm urself. . . some build a bad *** motor, others want to "limp" into the whole car building thing.

when you 1st started, what was your idea of parts that made power? did you want a 200 shot of nawzzzzzz? or a big turbo kit? in actuality how many of these came true?

strictlybusiness, you just need to chill and go get a life. go do something more constrictive than bagging on ppl on the internet. honestly, i bow down to your vast knowledge of cars and your all knowing brain that knows what makes more power than this or that.

I don't see what you get about STFU AND GTFO. Maybe other performance mods are coming that will amplify a better flowing TB? Maybe he is eventually going turbo?

Or maybe you just need to shut your filthy lil mouth and stop trying to be cool?

The world may never know.
