Default Something different, Not a Honda but it's a blown alky

A good friend of mine build's boat engine's and finally decided to build something for himself. We spent 1-week building this, from last Monday to Saturday and finally got to fire her up on Sat. night.

So its basicly a 'crackerbox', except with a flat hull? I'd be scared to jump in and drive what's basicly a huge motor connected to a surface drive...and some fiberglass. I'm assuming it will be a surface drive boat based on that hole in the transom? Or will it have the screw down below?
