Default H22xx OBD conversion stuff

OK, I'm asking for some other people, and I could probably request this information through IMs, but I figured I'd make it public.

So we have the following motors:

H22A1 (OBD1)
H22A4 (OBD2)
H22A7 (?)
H22A (?)

Now, when swapping these motors in, what exactly is involved with altering the OBD process? What about the H22A7 and H22A?

For the H22A4 (Dave, you could help out here), what exactly is involved in the OBD2 -> OBD1 conversion? I'm kinda confused to how the entire OBD system works, and what the JDM and EDM motors equivalent systems are and how they compare.

Why would a JDM motor conform to US OBD standards?

h22a's do have obd1 n 2 ....they correspond to the same years as the US engines..

92-95 obd1
96+ obd2

from what i know

to convert my F23A1 to use my F22A1 harness i added:
2 vtec wires to ecu
1 vtec ground
1 knock sensor wire
OBD1 F22B1 ECU
used the OBD2 injector clips and wired em into the OBD1 harness
