Default H22a4 Crank sensor question.

Im having an issue...
With the obd2 p13 Im not getting a code...
With a P72 or P2E or any other obd2 ecu ive tried, i get a code for CKP.
The 4 wires are all hooked up where they should be, coming off the sensor down by the crank to the ecu.

What could be the deal?

Reason im trying to use a different ecu is just for a PASS.
I cant pass smog with the P13 obd2 because its making about 500 HC at idle. So i was gonna use a P72, the # are good about 80 HCs. I know you cant use a p72 to pass smog, but i can.
I think its because the injectors are 280cc saturated On the h22a4 and the obd2 p13 ecu runs 345cc peak n holds from the 96 prelude.

any tips on what to do? CAT is good.
my only other thoughts were to just get 345cc peak n holds and a resistor pack and use the obd2 p13.

You're lucky to have found an obd2 p13, they're hard to come by.

I have no idea why one would throw that code and the other wouldn't....thats very odd, I do know that it shouldn't matter if the sensor is at the oil pump or in the distributor.

Yeah, i got real lucky, also paid only 100$ for it.
Its my n2o ecu. Id almost trade it for 345cc injects and resistor pack w/ plugs.

trade the p72 for the 345s.

I might be able to get you a resistor box for free, I think I have one sitting in the garage. pm me.
