Technically it IS from Japan. The car is the same. I'm sure if you took an EG to Japan, they would still call it an EG, not 'hey its a 92-95 civic hatchback!'. EG is so much simpler to say and faster.

hmm my chassis code sint an EG for my 95 hb? I think in japan they might think of us as a little strange becasue the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.

why do JDM purists make fun of people with ITR badges and stuff, but yet they call their car an EG when it isn't even from japan?
