I live in the los angeles area. I have no mods on my 2000 accord lx sedan. I have 140k miles on it. My transmission is begining to slip from 1st to 2nd gear. Does anybody know a mechanic in LA that might do this repair for a reasonable price. I'm a student on a budget. Thanks.

 

I posted on it last week. It wouldn't start. I did a cap and rotor, didn't work. Plugs, no dice. Then I went to work on it again, tried to start it, and it worked. So I was driving it back to Michigan (where I have real tools and a garage and don't have to work on it out in the street) when it just died. I was on the expressway and it just shut off. I pulled over and could not get it started. Luckily I hadn't gone far so I just had it towed back to my house here in Chicago. At this point I'm sick of it and just want someone else to mess with it. It's too much of a head ache to try and work on without tools or a garage. (Or hours in the day for that matter.)
