and i wouldnt recommend an RMF if you A) like spending 800 dollars for something that could take 1month to over a year to get in your hands.

B) like hearing the same lie over and over
"it got shipped out"
"its boxed up and ready"

i would recommend SSR. They have been doing some serious work with H series with very good results.

I have been referring people to SSR lately due to Randy's disappearance. It not only looks bad on RMF, but it also looks bad on me when promises get broken customers don't get taken care of in a timely fashion. Until I see some changes in RMF's business ethic, SSR gets ALL of my referrals. Don't get me wrong, Randy is a nice guy and likes to help when he can, not to mention his headers are some of the best on the market, he just needs a little push in the right direction.

Hopefully RMF and its affiliates do not take any offense in my comments, but in the business world, this kind of ethic will make you go bankrupt.

This is my short RMF story; I got a RMF header back in 2002, one of the first for H22. I flew in to LA to pickup some parts including the header, paid in advance $700 for the SS one. Supposedly the header was ready when I was there, I drove all the way down from Gardena to a town east of Pomona (I don't recall the name) to a Wheel Shop where Randy use to work, and guess what, he wasn't there, after he said he was waiting for me and after I drove all the way down in the wonderful SoCAL afternoon traffic. Eventually the header got shipped but few months later.

It looks like their business ethics haven't changed since then.

For those of you that don't know , Randy's "dissapearence" was due to him being hospitalized. Yes he was gone for a while , but what was he supposed to do , stay in contact with everyone while he was in the hospital. We spoke to him a little while ago and he said he is sorry for the hold up , but what could he do. He said he will be filling and shipping all the remaining orders of headers and then that's it. He will no longer be making any more Honda headers. Sucks for me because I wanted one of his headers for our new build. I know it sucks to have to wait sometimes , but Randy is but one guy making headers for a grip of people. Hope everyone is satisfied. Now noone will be able to obtain his proven headers. We mind as well stop trying to contact him because he will not reply to anyone trying to get an RMF header for their Honda.

How long ago was this "disappearance"? I remember talking to him after his trip to the hospital and that was about 6 months ago just to BS with him for a bit. Recently I referred a friend with an H2B swap to Randy last month (July). The check that my friend sent him for the full amount was cashed on July 25, 2007 and is all of a sudden he is no where to be found... again.

I have no doubt that his headers make proven power and I can definitely prove it with my header. He even helped me by changing out the collector size on my header while I waited (2 hours at most) and I showed my appreciation by referring many people to him which has bitten me in the *** a few times already. I just don't agree with his ethic as a business owner. I'd have to admit that when he was at Import Powerhouse (when i bought my header), things went a lot smoother. Just my 2 cents

This is absolutely commical to me. How many times have I been called a "dick rider" or "nut swinger" because I never bought into the RMF bandwagon? What was this, a year ago?? Glad everyone is finally catching up by now....

IF YOU WANT A GOOD HEADER I WOULD GO WITH EITHER SSR OR SMSP. YOU STILL MIGHT HAVE THE WAITING ISSUE, BUT AT LEAST YOU GET YOUR EMAILS RESPONDED IN A TIMELY MANNER!
