Mixed up rocker arm assemblies?

I scabbed a set of replacement middle intake rockers from a spare head I had lying around. Turns out that's a no-no (according to Helms) because there's a possibility that the vtec pins won't line up properly.
Should I be concerned? Has anyone else mixed and matched rockers before? Any problems with vtec engaging/disengaging?
