Found this while taking off my oil pan....any suggestions to fix it???
while rebuilding my d16z6, I found this problem after taking off my oil pan. Of all the shiet, this has to happen...its the lower screw hole for the a/c bracket. Anyone deal with something like this before? Is there any way to fix it? I tried to screw in the bolt, but it looks to be striped. Tap a bigger thread hole into it and teflon tape it?

You could have it welded, re-drilled, and tapped...
Or just clean it really really well and bust out the JB Weld and put a stud in it. Then just use a nut to fasten the a/c bracket.
^That's my inner hillbilly coming out^
I highly recommend the first option. But the 2nd should work...

welded with what material? And as for the drill...drill it with a smaller size drillbit then tap with the right bolt size tap? Thanks.

find out what size bolt goes in it then google a tap drill chart.

a simple leaky oil pan gasket change...and it leads to this...more problems...now I got to take out the crank, rods, and pistons. Anyhow...Thanks.

Psh, hell no. Would you really be willing to do that?
Anyway, those AC bolts are long, and I seriously doubt that missing 1/4" of thread is going to matter at all. If it were me, I would do this:
1. JB Weld the hole shut to prevent oil leaks.
2. Cut the bolt down so that when it's fully threaded in it won't contact the blob of JB Weld at the end.
3. If the bolt feels stripped, just tap it out one size larger and use a 1mm larger bolt.

I would really like to aluminum weld that hole though. How well does jb weld hold?
Also, someone from the tech area suggested just welding it shut...use a bigger drill and tap...and bigger bolt or hex plug.

That's what I said too!
And the degree to which JB Weld "holds" is wildly variant, depending on how well you prep the surface. It's nothing compared to a real weld. Your best bet is to cut the bolt down a bit so it won't contact the JB and dislodge it.

Searching for more info on jb weld and tomorrow, I'm off to buy some...if that doesn't work out...I'll try calling some shops here to see if they will aluminum weld it for me.

Just clean the oil out of the threads and put honda bond (grey silicone) on the A/C bolt when you install it.
Disassembling that engine to fix that is way more work then a Z6 is worth. Honestly. Clean it up and try the JB weld. Then don't use the wrong bolt in the hole (too long) and you won't have this problem again.
yeah, it looks like the longer bolt was in there...plus the block is on a engine stand.
