1997 Accord starts, runs only when jump started
I used my daily beater 1997 Accord to jump start a car on the weekend (correctly). It killed the 5 y.o. battery, so I replaced it with a new one tonight from Sears. It won't start off the battery and none of the accessory lights etc come on, but it will start and run if I jump start it. I ran it on the interstate for about 45 min tonight, no probs. and I thought this would charge the new battery (if that was the problem)
Battery voltage at rest is 12.5V, don't know what it is when running (I'm tired of jumping it).
Is the new battery borked as well, or is there something else going on? The main fuses all look okay ( I haven't tested them for continuity) - could it be a relay? ECU? What?

wouldnt run on its own if it was the alternator 100% but the alternator may be going bad(5 amps under and it will show the same symtoms) it will run the car but not charge the battery
