H22A vs B18
I'm in the market for an older honda to tune up but I'm stuck deciding between an accord (h22) or a civic (b18) (either or will be swapped later on). Regardless of the choice the engine will be turbo'd so I'm wondering which car I would have the potential to get more HP and torque out of?
I'm sorry If this has been covered before but i need to know :/

you have that all mixed up. forget the accord and go with the civic with H22. Accord is worthless to put an h22 in. heavy sled.... 92-95 civic with H22 =

scott bryars did really well in an NA accord.
and if you are boosting, why is this in the ALL MOTOR forum?

would the 500lb difference be worth the instability of a civic though? my friend's civic shakes around 80mph and it's a 95 i believe.
plus I'm not sure I could afford an h22 into a civic too messy to do on my own

If he has instability issues, there is more to it. The car is fine as I have no problems at the big end of the track on slicks with instability and I am running a lot faster than 80.
And yes, the 500 lbs is worth it.

your friend has issues with his civic then.... it isnt supposed to shake. and despite what you might hear the H is not that much heavier than the B series. I have it in a crx and it drives fine... no shaking or any kind of problems driving.. trust me you will be very happy with the H22 in a civic. its actually not a very difficult swap, let me know and i can get you the parts for it at a really good price.. mounts, axles. i can even make you a harness for it so all you have to do is plug it in..not trying to be a salesman but i can save you money and make your swap easier to do it yourself, if you are interested.
