car wont start when its to hot out side

Default car wont start when its to hot out side

i have a 99 accord ex 2dr, the problem is that the car starts and then its turns off after a secand or two. this only happens when it is hot out side. what is the problem?

no when i let go it stays on for a couple of secands then it turns off. then after that it wount turn on untill the car cool's down.

Check with a local dealership first, but check for fuel by shootin carb cleaner in the intake where the throttle body is, then crank, if runs for a sec then shuts off u have a fuel prob, its either the pump or the main relay.

actually there is a recall haha thats funny i just seen what yr i have the same car, yes theres a recall go to the dealership but i dont thinks its your problem. more then likely the relay.

It's the relay, had it happen to me. I took out the relay located above the steering column resoldered the contacts and it's never happened again.

Yikes, you repaired one? I'd just replace it, instead.

is that why it would turn off as soon as i would turn it on. is it hard to put the new relay and how long does it take to put the new one on
