What prop valve comes on a '99 EX ?
Anybody know what prop valve comes on a EX? Do I need to get a 99-00 Si one since I have an ITR 5lug swap?
I heard they are all the same, but I am just double checking before I buy one.

If you have the rear disc brake setup, you will need a 99-00 Si prop valve, as drums use a residual pressure check valve built inside the proportioning valve itself to keep a small fluid pressure on the wheel cylinders, not to mention the pistons on the calipers are much larger than the wheel cylinder pistons. That will translate to more force per sq. in of force on the piston, resulting in too much braking in the rear = lockup/shitty braking. If you don't change it out, you may lock up the rear brakes while slowing down.
Thanks, I know what the difference is. Im was just wondering if I need the 99-00 Si prop valve, cause I heard they were the same.

99 EX (Non-ABS) prop valve:46210-S04-962 VALVE ASSY., PROPORTIONING
99 Si (Non-ABS) prop valve: 46210-S04-902 VALVE ASSY., PROPORTIONING

Should have mentioned that, the master cylinders in the DX and CX are different, and use the same prop valve as the Si, but the Si uses a smaller master cylinder, and gets more brake pressure that way.
EX was the odd duck out, got the Si master cylinder and a totally different prop valve because of it.
