If you are going from an automatic to manual, then YES, you do need the Hasport auto to manual transmission mount.

If you don't get it, then the engine will sit up higher on the passenger side of the car and rub the hood...plus, you can't (I couldn't at least...prior to knowing that I needed a special mount) get the bolt all the way through the mount and to start threading.

And this is coming from personal experience...I did the auto to manual conversion when swapping in my GS-R into my EG

No problem.

I swapped my motor/transmission in by following a write-up I found on Honda-Tech. Apparently the writer was doing his in a car that was already a manual and there was no mention of a special transmission mount needed, so I got the motor in...and it didn't fit right.

So I had to wait a week for the Hasport mount to come in, but it works perfectly now.

Good luck with the swap and conversion
