EG HASPORT MOUNT- auto to manual conv.
I just need clarification, do i really need this mount from HASPORT? Ive checked
honda-tech some people say i do and some dont. Im doing a 5 speed conversion to my
EG; i know that the EKs are inter-changable but what about EGs. Can anybody clarify
this for me thanks. -josh

no you needthe manual trans mount, im sure hasport makes it, but a used one for $5 from a friend will work just as well.

If you are going from an automatic to manual, then YES, you do need the Hasport auto to manual transmission mount.
If you don't get it, then the engine will sit up higher on the passenger side of the car and rub the hood...plus, you can't (I couldn't at least...prior to knowing that I needed a special mount) get the bolt all the way through the mount and to start threading.
And this is coming from personal experience...I did the auto to manual conversion when swapping in my GS-R into my EG

THANK YOU! this is the last piece i need for my conversion, i didnt want to buy and then end up not needing it. Yet, i didnt want to start the conversion and then finding out the I DO need it. thanks again

I swapped my motor/transmission in by following a write-up I found on Honda-Tech. Apparently the writer was doing his in a car that was already a manual and there was no mention of a special transmission mount needed, so I got the motor in...and it didn't fit right.
So I had to wait a week for the Hasport mount to come in, but it works perfectly now.
