Default HELP ME JESUS! My car won't start after new fuel pump install, No spark from Dizzy! whats goin on? *

Ok I have a '91 CRX DX with a '91 LS motor in it, Ive had the swap for about 1700 mile and about 200 miles ago my fuel pump was making a loud chirping noise, and it would idle real low at a stop light and when i stepped on it there would be hesitation for a while then it would go, so I replaced the fuel pump and when I did that it sounded better, but when I came to a stop sign it would idle real low then die (even after i would stomp in the gas) and then not start up again, but when it would be cold it would run fine. Now it won't start.

My uncle told me there was sumthin in the dizzy that if it got too hot it would shut down but when cold it would be fine, so I tested the spark from the wires on the valve cover and there was no spark at all, so I reaplace the dizzy with a new one and the sun b*itch still won't start! So I test the spark again on the valve cover and I Get nothing! So Will somebody please HELP ME! I wan't top get rid of this car ASAP but I can't if it won't start.

Thank you

Ok, there are two pins on your ecu for the output signal and the coil...I think it's A15 and A17 on the VTEC Obd0 ecu's...may be the same...I had about the same problem with no spark with a brand new dizzy. Check that when the ignition is on, that the A15/A17 pins have voltage. I believe it's around 10 volts. If there's no voltage, you have an open somewhere and need to repair it. To verify before you rip out your harness, make a jumper wire and run it from A15 to the white wire on the dizzy (there's two, just try 'em both, won't mess anything up, but I think it's the white wire closest to the passenger side shock mount). If the car starts/gets spark, you do indeed have an open. There is also two wires on the smaller clip that are there for the coil. You can also test those to see if they are getting voltage with the key on. If not, the coil needs to be replaced.

Did you by any chance turn the dizzy alot before installing? That can sometimes kill the coil/module.

also have no spark/fuel.
Checked continuity at fuel pump to relay and to fuse block, all of which are fine.
Main relay is also fine.

The vehicle like he said ran fine, I had no signs of failure.
I swapped my head and now it wont run.
