Default why is there oil....

in the bottom of my distributor cap. i changed my rotor button today and there was a small amount of oil and it looked like chunks of dirt or sumthin in the bottom of it. my car seems to have a charging proble also. if i turn my turn signal on, i ca see my abs light and my dome light dim whenever the blinker clicks. also same thing with the wipers if i turn them on. the altenator was chacked and is fine, and the battery is fine. optima red top. could my distributor be a problem with charging?? thx

Does the rotor shaft had play in it, it should have none, if there is play, the wheels are probably hitting the pickup coils behind that aluminum cover, stick a light back there and make sure.

Your lights acting odd is not a charge problem, its a wiring problem. Check the grounds for those items, or anything that you messed with that pertains to lights.
